I've been a Barley's regular since it's opened.  My favorite bartender/server is Tina.  She's always taken care of me.  If I owned or managed a bar, I would want her working for me.  She has a strong customer service ethic.

If you're there where Tina and Rachel (new bartender/server) you will get the best customer service I've seen at a bar and I've lived in the area for over 27 years.  Tina taught her well.

The only reason I'm doing a four stars is because of stupid things Barley's (or Wildfire) management has done which I'm going to highlight below.

They've gotten rid of the Megabucks machine which is what I primarily play.  It appears senior Monday's are gone.  The place is regularly frequented by seniors.  They've also done some very stupid changes to the menu over the years.  They've also gotten rid of early happy hour which was my primary draw there.  I don't miss living in Henderson as much because of this management stupidity.  A trained primate could do a better job managing Barley's.  It's about as inefficient as that failing corporation known as the US government.

Writing the same review on this page for Barleys, because there is obviously a huge disconnect between the cafe and the casino.

Ive really wanted to like this place for a long time since it used to be a solid spot to come watch the games on Sunday. Everytime I've visited in the past year, the Red Rock is not on tap, the Blue Diamond is usually out as well, sucks cuz those are the two best brews they have. They used to have awesome specials for football season...gonzo. You used to be able to order a salad bar with no issues (there's almost nothing else on the menu that doesn't have meat/ animal products), but now when you order a salad bar from anywhere else besides the cafe you get denied. The salad bar is on the menu you are given when you eat at the bar, cafe, or any table. In the Cafe, there is a sign that says all items at cafe are available at the bar. If the salad bar is not available, it is not obvious or even hidden anywhere other than being denied by a manager when you ask about it. I get it, "anyone could come off the street and come eat the salad bar, there is no way to monitor it", but it's 2019 guys... use a damn token system or something. Or put some other plant based options on the menu. Is it that difficult to figure out?

Another major issue is service, "sorry, we are understaffed" has been the go to excuse for the wait staff for years. Its hard to believe that at a sports book you can't expect an influx of patrons during the aired games.

It could just be me, but as a local I have a hard time accepting some type of issue time and time and time again. I keep coming back every 4 months or so to try and give it another shot, but I'm met with disappointment everytime.

I will not be back after today, and Sunday Funday is moving to another local spot with better customer service.

Calling this place a "brew pub" just sets it up for customer disappointment. Dropped in for a beer before seeing a movie with my date. The so-called "brew pub" advertised on the marquee is really just bait for an unremarkable cafe area.  It's 4pm and the whole cafe is empty. The hostess asks "booth or table?" and I jokingly tell her to squeeze us in where she can.  She gives us a booth with ripped upholstery.

We tell the server we're there for a beer only and ask for a beer list.  No beer list. She proceeds to tell us the names of their brews, "Red Rock, Black Knight," etc.  I ask, "But what types of beers are those?" She replies that "Red Rock is red colored..."  I ask if they have a porter. She checks with another person. After significant consultation, a third person comes over and offers that they have a stout.

Whoever is running this place is simply running it into the ground. If someone is worth hiring, they're worth training and these employees have more than enough time on their hands between customers to learn a few things. Employees value being properly trained and customers value it even more.

In the end, the stout was decent and a 12oz brew was just $3.5.  If I need a cheap beer, I may drop in, but I so hate to see wasted potential.

A good spot for a quick bite to eat, staff friendly, food good and economical. I usually have breakfast, I like the calm atmosphere, but you can step in the casino and bet or play if you feel the need as well.

I like Barley's, it's got a small town vibe that is quaint. And beer!
At the Brewer's Cafe, try the Beef Brisket pizza- yummy! Great deal for a small for $10. The menu has many reasonably priced items. During my latest visit, I had the orange honey-glazed salmon dinner. It was excellent, and a big portion. Bonus- you can order food from the brewpub at the bar.

Back to Beer. The beer lists are incorrect, if you can find one. In July, they had a pumpkin brew from last year on the list which wasn't available. The seasonal watermelon was very good, however. Don't have faith in the tap handles either, I was told not to look at them when picking a draft. Funny!
    But so Barley's!

Barley's operates under the Station Casinos umbrella, and is part of the Wildfire gaming brand. Use your Boarding Pass for discounts! Price points are lower here than the Big Box Stations, and they have casino promos as well that are sometimes better.
